This is an example of an antique Kerman from the city of Kerman in Persia. The rug has enormous wear in the field and the borders as it is a turn of the century rug. The rug is antique but has amazing all natural vegetable dyes.

Solutions provided:

The rug requires reweaving of the field and refringing but Jafri Rugs will make sure to maintain the antiquity of the rug, and that means the following has to be done:
-Entire soaking, drying, dusting and organic antique wash of the rug
-Adding new binding to the length sides of the rug so that the wool does not unravel into the field as the fringe and binding are tantamount to the frame of a rug
-Complete fringe implant required, where Jafri Rug weavers will add the exact type of fringe that comports to the design and era of the rug
-Reweaving of the field, no patchwork as that diminishes the value of the rug
