This Circa 1900 threadbare Persian Heriz, quite valuable, from the mid-century has a thinner pile and therefore requires a longer wash period

This took approx two weeks to wash

Given the damage to the rug Jafri Rug restoration inspected the following:

The rug is completely worn and torn across the field and borders
The vegetable dyes have completely faded, requiring color restoration
Reweaving will be required
Fringe and binding is unraveling
