Why did the customer contact us?

This is a classic Ming dynasty rug from the mid-century. The rug is made with the classic French blue as there was a great deal of French influence in the Chinese weaving. The had the following issues:

The rug is completely worn and torn across the field and borders
The vegetable dyes have completely faded, requiring color restoration
Moth damage where moths ate thru the wool
Fringe and binding is unraveling

Edge Repairs: The edges need reinforcement to prevent fraying and maintain their structure.
