Why did the customer contact us?

This customer required their prayer rug from the late 1800's be restored. All the characteristics of a prayer rug are shown on this rug from the hanging lamp, to the columns, to the directional nature of the rug. This rug was in desperate need of the following:
-Fringe replacement
-Binding replacement
-Pocket to be added for hanging on wall
-Reweaving of field with same raw silk

Solutions provided:

Jafri Rugs fixed the rug and brought it back to its originality. The rug was threadbare, so it was very important that Jafri Rugs do the following:
-With reweaving not adding extra pile making the rug look thicker and diminishing the value and antiquity of the rug
-Organic cleaning and not using harsh chemicals to avoid color run/color bleeding
-Providing a proper rebinding and refringing to protect the frame of the rug
