This is an example of a prayer rug from the late 1800s. The rug has been completely worn down, but still has characteristics of all the prayer rug intact. The rug required a complete reweaving in the field and required fringe and binding and a pocket to be added to be hung.

Jafri Rugs restored this late 1800s prayer rug. Jafri Rugs used the same New Zealand worsted wool for the reweaving. Jafri Rugs also completed an entire fringe and binding on the rug.
