Dating back to the late 1800s or early 20th century, this rug urgently requires extensive preservation. With holes through its foundation and the warp and weft completely destroyed, immediate and meticulous restoration is crucial to save this historical treasure before any more damage is done.

Solutions provided:

Jafri Rugs will dedicate approximately 6 months, from cleaning to restoration, to carefully complete the following:

Entire field reweaving to restore the rug’s design and integrity.
Fringe implants using authentic circa 1900 fringe to maintain historical accuracy.
Rebinding across the length side of the rug to reinforce and preserve its structure.
