This customer required immediate assistance in restoring her circa 1900 Persian museum quality rug. This is a delicate rug that was hand knotted and is truly a one of a kind antique rug requiring an antique weaver.
This client required immediate assistance with her antique rug. The warp and weft was showing as this rug was heavily used for years.
This was a threadbare antique rug that required delicate precision.

Jafri Oriental Rugs inspection observed the following issues with this rug:

-Fringe was fraying
-Binding was unraveling
-Moth damage was showing all throughout the rug
-Worn areas where warp and weft is shown

Solutions provided:

Jafri Rugs will make sure to do the following:

Apply an antique wash to the rug where the rug will be soaked for days and then dusted

Repair all the fringe and binding work

Reweave the field to maintain the integrity of the design and eliminate all wear
